ColabioColabio

Great engineering teams run on trust, clarity, and autonomy.

Colabio is a software management workspace for engineering teams. It tracks time with screenshots and activity levels, then adds the context those numbers lack: AI task suggestions, written daily updates, and an assistant you can ask. We built it because the alternatives stopped at the counts.

Why Colabio exists

Most team tracking software stops at the counts: hours, an activity percentage, a grid of screenshots. Those tell a lead that someone was busy, not what they were doing or why a day went sideways. Engineers know when they are being judged on input rather than on the work itself.

Colabio keeps the counts and adds the story. Tracked slots carry the task, the apps used, and an AI suggestion when activity drifts. Each member writes a short daily update beside their tracked time, and a lead can ask Claude or ChatGPT about the team instead of reading dashboards. Leads get signal; engineers get a fair account.

Our principles

The four commitments every Colabio feature is checked against.

Visible tracking

The desktop app shows when it is tracking, and every member can see their own time, screenshots, and activity levels in the dashboard.

No keylogging

Input events are counted for an activity level, never recorded as text. App names, window titles, and URLs are observed; file contents are not.

Advisory AI

When activity looks like a different task, the AI suggests it and the person decides. Nothing switches or gets flagged without a human seeing it.

Context over counts

Activity levels are shown with the tasks, apps, and written daily updates that explain them, never as a score on their own.
